NAVETA DELS TUDONS. The mystery of the giants
It is a funeral monument that served as an ossuary and was built with regular-sized stone blocks that form an elongated horse-shape layout. It is 13.6m long and 6.40m across, with a tiny entrance door that leads to a small anteroom, which provides access to a larger chamber and a smaller one.
During excavation work carried out in the 20th century, bones belonging to around a hundred people were found there, together with Talayotic bronze and ceramic ornamental objects. It seems that it was used as a collective tomb, where bones would be deposited that had been fleshed elsewhere.
